For the Republican Party, global warming is evolving. Climate change is moving from the realm of science to that of religion.
Among Republicans generally, the percentage who regard global warming as a problem to be faced is diminishing. Among the Tea Party faithful, a whopping 41 percent say climate change is a “hoax”, and another 28 percent are waiting for “more evidence.” As the scientific evidence keeps mounting, the party dogma of denial hardens.
