A mostly calm week begins

The week begins on a much calmer note.
With high pressure parked over the region, today will feature sun and some fair weather clouds, with high in the mid to upper 60s. The onshore flow continues, but the winds out of the northeast are noticeably lighter than yesterday. The coast may see more clouds than sun because of moisture streaming in off the ocean. For tonight, overnight lows will be in the upper 40s (north) to low 50s (south).
Between Tuesday and Friday, the only day with a chance of precipitation is Wednesday, which will feature mostly cloudy skies. Some clouds will build in during the afternoon on Tuesday. Wednesday is still a question mark regarding showers, but Thursday will be pleasant, with a dry northwest wind. Sun and clouds for Friday. As for now, the weekend looks overall decent. Temperatures will be above normal for days, too.
“Daily average Tuesday will be around 5 degrees above normal, around 10 degrees above normal Wednesday and Thursday, then cool to about 5 degrees above normal Friday. Still about a bit above normal Saturday, then probably down to near normal Sunday,” National Weather Service forecasters wrote in the latest local forecast discussion.
Since the onshore flow is diminishing, the sea will slowly begin to relax.
