2 men beaten with a hammer in home invasion

    Two people are in the hospital after they were struck with a hammer during a home invasion in a Philadelphia suburb.

    WPVI-TV reports that two men in a Lower Merion Township home were beaten with a hammer at about 4 a.m. on Sunday.

    Authorities say they do not know how many people carried out the home invasion and police have not made any arrests.

    The conditions of the victims were not disclosed.
