Phillies Tickets Contest Details

What is the prize?
The contest runs from Monday, June 17 at 11:59PM until Thursday, June 27 at 11:59 PM.
When you donate, you’ll be entered into the contest for a chance to be one of three winners to receive a pair of tickets to see the Phillies play the Astros at Citizens Bank Park on Monday, August 26th, 2024.
How am I entered to win? Where can I enter to win?
Enter online with a donation at WHYY.org/radio. You can also enter by donating by phone at 1-888-345-9499. Eligible entrants must provide their name, address, email address and phone number as part of their donation or by phone (215-351-0511) for free entry. Incomplete entries will not be eligible to win.
What are the exact details?
Donate between Monday, June 17 at 11:59PM until Thursday, June 27 at 11:59 PM and be entered to win a pair of tickets to see the Phillies vs the Astros at Citizens Bank Park on August 26, 2024. Fair Market Value for the pair of tickets is $150. One entry per household. You can donate online at WHYY.org/radio.
Do I need to make a gift to enter?
No, but we hope you will enter by donating online at WHYY.org/radio. If you’d prefer to enter without donating, call Member and Audience Services at 215-351-0511.
How many entries are permitted per person?
One entry per household is allowed. Donate online at WHYY.org/radio to be automatically entered.
How many total entries will be allowed? What are the odds of winning?
The odds of winning one or more prizes will depend on the number of entrants. We will not set a limit on the total number of entries allowed.
How will the winner be selected?
The winner will be selected randomly on site at WHYY Studios in Philadelphia on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. We will notify the winner directly and post the name on WHYY.org. Winners need not be present to win.
How will the winner be notified?
WHYY will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner using information provided on the winning entry form. This contact will be by phone and/or email. If a winner does not contact WHYY within 10 business days after the first initial contact, WHYY will send notification through certified mail. After an additional 10 business days, WHYY may, at its option, award another person the prize. WHYY will not award a prize if the winner (a) was ineligible to participate, (b) provided materially false or misleading information to WHYY, or (c) if participating or receiving a prize is prohibited with respect to such person pursuant to these Rules or Applicable Law.
Why are you collecting so much personal information? Isn’t email address enough?

If I win, will I be required to pay any taxes based on the value of the prize?
Payment of all federal, state and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner. Tickets have a fair market value of $150.
Are WHYY Sustainers automatically entered?
WHYY Sustainers are not automatically entered to win. They may enter by making an additional donation or upgrading their monthly donation level at WHYY.org/radio or calling member services to enter without donating.
Who is eligible to enter?
To be eligible to enter, you must (a) be at least 18 years old at the time of purchase, (b) be a U.S. resident physically residing in the United States or District of Columbia, and (c) not be precluded by Applicable Law from holding participating. Enter online by donating at WHYY.org/radio.
WHYY employees, board members and their households may not enter and are not eligible to win a prize.
