The pros and cons of a gas tax holiday

    John McCain and Hillary Clinton have proposed suspending the 18-cent-per-gallon gas tax for the summer driving season. Critics say the proposals are mere politics and will only encourage more gasoline usage. Supporters of the plan say it will provide some short-term relief to cash-strapped consumers.
