While many believe that creativity is an inherent personality trait, a new field of academia is challenging this notion with courses and degrees in creativity as a teachable skill. On the eve of the American Creativity Association’s 2014 World conference in Philadelphia, we talk with keynote speaker GERARD J. PUCCIO, chairman of the International Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State University. We’ll also be joined by FREDRICKA REISMAN, President of the American Creativity Association and founding director of Drexel University’s Creativity and Innovation Program, and JACK V. MATSON, Emeritus Professor of Environmental Engineering at Penn State, who teaches courses in creativity, innovation and the importance of failure.
