As of today, federal workers will have missed two paychecks due to the ongoing and longest running partial government shutdown in American history. This is the latest and most dramatic result of governmental dysfunction and partisanship in Washington. So how did we get here, and what, if anything, can be done about both the shutdown, and the larger structural problems that plague the legislative process. Today, Marty will be joined by two moderate members of each party who have served in Congress, current Democratic Senator from Delaware CHRIS COONS, and former U.S. House Representative, Republican CHARLIE DENT. We’ll get their take on the tenor of politics today, the shutdown, the President, and the future of governing.
