Tomorrow kicks off the 34th National Veterans Wheelchair Games. This year they are being held in Philadelphia. The games feature a variety of adaptive sports in which veterans from around the country will compete. Today on Radio Times, we speak with three athletes from the “Philly Phever” team that will be representing the Philadelphia VA. We speak with SEAN JOHNSON, an Air Force veteran, LAURA SCHWANGER, an Army veteran, and SONNY WIMBERLY, an Army veteran, about the sports they’ll participate in, their experiences at the games over the years, and what they’re looking forward to this week.
