Congressional fall preview
ListenThe debate over U.S. involvement in Syria has overshadowed a number of domestic issues that were poised to dominate the new Congressional session – immigration reform, the approaching debt ceiling, and the continued fight over Obamacare. This hour, we’ll talk with two journalists about the politics around the Syria decision and the President’s efforts to win over the American public and Congress. We’ll also preview some of the other big issues on Congress’ plate this fall including a possible government shutdown, immigration legislation, and the effort to defund Obamacare. Our guests are MARGARET TALEV, the White House correspondent for Bloomberg News and SAM STEIN, political reporter at the Huffington Post.
