Stand-up comedian MOHANAD ELSHIEKY joins Marty to discuss his life as a Libyan immigrant working as a comic in America, his views on politics, getting harassed by border patrol agents, and the radio show he cohosted in Benghazi during the Libyan revolution. Then — The President announced last week that he will impose a 5% tariff on Mexican exports if they don’t do more to stop migrants from crossing the border, sending markets in a tailspin. We’ll talk with CHAD BOWN, a senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics about Trump’s threat, how the tariffs would affect the U.S. and Mexican economies and what they would mean for consumers.
