#innovateRT: Sustainable Philadelphia

Listen

In the fifth and final hour in our series on Philadelphia Innovators, we look at sustainability in the city and the effort to make Philly the greenest city in America.  We’ll find out how close we are to that green goal and talk with some of the city’s environmental pioneers about the work they’re doing to shrink Philadelphia’s eco-footprint. We’ll learn about cutting-edge passive housing, a revolution in construction waste recycling, innovation in locally-grown food distribution and Mayor Nutter’s Greenworks plan. Our guests are KATHERINE GAJEWSKI, the Philadelphia’s Director of the Office of Sustainability; TIM MCDONALD, an architect and President of Onion Flats; JON WYBAR, co-founder and manager of Revolution Recovery, HAILE  JOHNSTON about Common Market, a distributor of locally-grown foods.
