Hour 2

New ideas are great, right? But what if you don’t know they’re out there? Time spent online can limit one’s exposure to new ideas narrowing our pre-existing confirmation bias, says ELI PARISER. Pariser studies how we engage in online thought and the ramifications of sharing too much can edit out one’s intellectual and social possibilities in his new book, “The Filter Bubble: What the Internet is Hiding from You.”
