Listen 00:48:43

Guest: David Casarett

Marijuana might be one of the most misunderstood plants, especially when it comes to its medicinal properties. Many people have scoffed at the idea of medical marijuana, including physician DAVID CASARETT. That is, until, one of his patients asked him if it was viable option for her. Impressed with her knowledge on medicinal pot, he embarked on a year and a half’s worth of research to learn more about medical marijuana’s efficacy, production, and its users. He even tested it on himself. In this hour of Radio Times, Marty speaks with Casarett, professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine, about his new book Stoned: A Doctor’s Case for Medical Marijuana and what he learned about the risks and benefits of using the drug.
