Cold War Kids
Cold War Kids’ road to success has been a gradual but rewarding one. On Canvas featured their performance at the Trocadero recently. Through years of grueling recording and non-stop global touring with indie rock icons like Death Cab for Cutie, evolving their sound as each of their albums is created, the boys have certainly earned a name for themselves among peers and critics alike. In the span of their relatively short career, the band has been described as mixing genres from soul to pop punk. All three of their critically acclaimed LPs are distinct from one another, each containing wide ranges of sounds and emotions. As their fan base continues to expand thanks to their outstanding live shows and most accessible album to date Mine Is Yours, Cold War Kids still manage to make the honest, genuine music that made them what they are today: a solid, respected rock n’ roll band.
