Chris Christie: Will he or won’t he?

Listen

Guests: Matt Arco, Matt Katz and Chris Petersen

All eyes are on New Jersey Governor Chris Christie this week. Last Friday, he vetoed a popular New Jersey animal rights bill banning the use of gestational crates for pregnant pigs. Pig farming isn’t big business in New Jersey, but it is in Iowa which holds the first caucuses in the presidential nominating process. What does all this say about Christie’s plans for 2016? Will he run or won’t he? And how are his politics playing out in the Garden State where he’s been embroiled in several high-profile controversies? Weighing in on these questions and more are two journalists who are following Chris Christie. MATT ARCO is a reporter for NJ Advance Media and his articles are published on NJ.com and the Newark Star-Ledger. Former Inquirer writer MATT KATZ now reports on Christie for WNYC and New Jersey Public Radio where he runs The Christie Tracker. We’ll also get reaction to Christie’s veto of the contentious animal rights bill from Iowan pig farmer CHRIS PETERSEN.
