Brothers Forever: the story of U.S. Marine Travis Manion and Navy Seal Brendan Looney

Listen

Guests: Colonel Tom Manion and Tom Sileo

Travis Manion, a US Marine from Doylestown, PA, was serving his second tour in Iraq as part of a reconnaissance battalion when he died in a sniper attack in the spring of 2007. His U.S. Naval Academy roommate, Brendan Looney, a US Navy Seal, was killed three years later in 2010, in Afghanistan, in a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crash during combat operations. Today, the brothers-in-arms and best friends lay buried side-by-side in Arlington National Ceremony. Manion’s father Colonel TOM MANION and journalist TOM SILEO have written a new book about these two young men, Brothers Forever. It’s a remarkable story of friendship, family and war.
