Woman killed after crashing into SPCA in Delaware

A woman is dead after her car crashed into the Brandywine Valley SPCA in New Castle Saturday night.

It’s not clear what caused the crash destroyed the veterninary clinic at the SPCA over the weekend. The driver of the car is dead after her car crashed through the exterior wall of the shelter, sparking a fire at the facility. Three cats were also killed.

SPCA leaders said the shelter was significantly damaged and it’s unkown when it will reopen. Nearly 100 animals were relocated to temporary housing and evaluation. BVSPCA is asking for help from the public for donations to help care for the animals.
