Wilmington Jaycees prep for annual Christmas parade

The Wilmington Jaycees are making final preparations for their 49th annual Christmas Parade through downtown Wilmington.  The parade will be held Saturday, November 24 at 3 p.m.  This year’s Grand Marshal will be Oscar winner Luke Matheny.  Matheny won the 2011 Academy Award for his short film “God of Love.” He is a 1993 graduate of Concord High School.

The parade which will feature marching bands, floats, and of course, Santa, starts at 5th and Market Streets and end at 11th Street.
