Wilmington celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with parade (photos)

A dreary weekend couldn’t stop the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown Wilmington.

Bagpipers, dance teams, and even horses with green legs, the annual parade marched its way through downtown Wilmington Saturday. Parade watchers lined the streets marked in part by a green stripe on King Street indicating the parade route.

The 41st annual parade was followed by the traditional hooley beerfeest held in a parking lot at 14th and King Streets.
