WHYY executive among honorees at Girl Scout event

Today’s a big day for present and future female leaders. The Girl Scouts will honor four local women in its 25th annual Take the Lead Awards ceremony.

Girl Scouts applied and interviewed to participate in the program, which sent them to corporate training workshops and required them to speak with today’s honorees, who will be awarded during the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.

Ann Weaver Hart, president of Temple University; Michele Ridge, former first lady of Pennsylvania; Pamela Browner White, Sr., vice president of public affairs and government relations for the Philadelphia Eagles; and WHYY’s own Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Kyra McGrath.

Tonight’s event is the first of three in Pennsylvania.
