Weekend rally supports Occupy Philly with giant puppet of Pat Toomey

You know how you’re always telling your friends your life won’t be complete until you’ve seen a giant puppet of Pat Toomey parade through Center City?

Well you’re in for a treat Saturday.

As part of a rally to promote jobs creation, MoveOn, the American Dream Movement Occupy Philly members will march from City Hall to Toomey’s Philadelphia office Saturday to “demand a recommendation that includes job creation; not tax cuts for the wealthy.”
Toomey is on the federal Super Committee to pull the nation out of debt.

After a noon-time rally, speeches and songs, a giant Toomey put will lead the group to the real Toomey’s office to drop off 400 pages of signatures in support of a program that taxes the nation’s wealthies 1 percent.
