Violent week has residents of Wilmington neighborhood concerned

Residents of the Browntown neighborhood are growing concerned after experiencing a violent week that included two shooting incidents, leaving one man dead.

According to Delaware Online, neighbors in the Browntown area are growing increasingly concerned about criminal activity so much so that some plan to contact the city’s Licenses and Inspections department to report certain properties in the neighborhood.

Delaware Onine reports some neighbors claim the criminal activity is linked to specific areas of the neighborhood.

Wilmington Police made two arrests in connection to a Monday night shooting incident. On Tuesday, a 56-year-old grocery store owner was shot and killed at the register of his store, Johnny’s Food Market on the 1200 block of Maryland Ave.
