Veterans honored at Roxborough’s Gorgas Park

To honor the veterans, both living and deceased, who have fought for American freedom, the 21st Ward Veterans Association hosted a Veterans Day Service at Roxborough’s Gorgas Park War Memorial on Tuesday.

Bruce Hoffman, the president of the 21st Ward Veterans Association and organizer of the service welcomed everybody and outlined the history of Veterans Day, which goes back to World War I.

A pleasant afternoon with a prayer invocation, speeches from state Rep. Pam DeLissio and more, concluded with a wreath placement to honor of all veterans.
