Trader Joe’s recalls peanut butter for possible salmonella contamination

Trader Joe’s has issued a voluntary recall for its Creamy Salted Valencia Peanut Butter because of a possible salmonella contamination.

The product has been removed from store shelves nationwide, and customers who already have the peanut butter are urged to either dispose of it or return it for a refund.

“While we have no confirmed information that suggests this peanut butter is unsafe to eat, there is nothing more important to us than the health and safety of our customers and crew, and the quality of our products,” reads a company statement on the FDA’s recall site.
