State environmental officials say the number of reported emissions in 2010 were down significantly compared to 2009.
The annual Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) data and reports show that Delaware’s industrial facilities emissions were down nearly 20 percent for 2010 compared to 2009.  On-site releases of emissions in 2010 totaled 4.33 million pounds, compared to 5.32 million pounds for 2009.  The 2010 release number is down 64 percent from 1998, when 11.86 million pounds of emissions were reported.  You can read the full report on the website of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC).
