Top 50 Phila.-area high schools ranked by SAT scores

    For the second year in a row, J.R. Masterman is the high school with the highest average SAT scores in the state of Pennsylvania. 

    The Pa. Department of Education has reported the verbal, math and writing scores for student SATs in high schools statewide, and the Philadelphia Business Journal determined average scores for schools from Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties and ranked the top 50 from lowest to highest.
