Thousands expected at Apple Scrapple Festival

The Apple Scrapple Festival is here.

As its name suggests, the annual Bridgeville event celebrates two local favorites, apples and scrapple, but it’s become much more than that.  The event is now a major fundraiser for Sussex County organizations, and serves to raise awareness of agriculture in southern Delaware.  More than 25,000 are expected at the festival that gets underway today.  In addition to food, there’s also carnival rides, scrapple chunkin’, a car show and a tractor pull.
