Temple University Symphony Orchestra among local Grammy nominees

    New Jersey’s Bruce Springsteen is up for three Grammy Awards. The Roots are a contender for best rap album.

    And the Temple University Symphony Orchestra could get a Grammy, too.The orchestra has two shots to win at the February awards ceremony. Philly.com reports “Music of Ansel Adams: America” by Chris and Dave Brubeck and Overture, Waltz and Rondo” written by Bill Cunliffe are nominated in the “best instrumental composition” category.

    Both were released under the Boyer College of Music and Dance’s record label.
