Student, 19, charged with rape at suburban Philly frat house

    A suburban Philadelphia college student has been arrested in connection with an alleged rape at a fraternity house.

    West Chester University student Mauricio Sanjuan-Martinez was charged Thursday with rape, sexual assault and other offenses.

    Police say he’s a suspect in the alleged rape of a female student around 4 a.m. Sunday at the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity house.

    The state-owned university posted a timely warning notice to its public safety website.

    The 19-year-old Gettysburg man is jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail. Online court records did not include information on a lawyer to comment on the charges.

    A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 16.
