State Police need help in Delaware cold case

State Police detectives are asking for the public’s help in a cold case homicide from December 2008.

The body of Michael Chicosky of Gerogetown was found on December 20, 2008 on Apple Tree Road in Bridgeville.  His death was ruled a homicide following an autopsy by the Chief Medical Examiner.  Detectives learned that Chicosky and two other men were driving around Bridgeville in Chicosky’s 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser the day before.  That was the last time he was seen alive.

On the evening of December 20, 2008 the victim’s car was found on fire at Band C Storage on Cannon Road in Bridgeville.  Detectives say they’ve had several leads, but none of those have led them to whoever was responsible for Chicosky’s death.  Anyone with information is asked to call Delaware State Police detective Mark Ryde at 302-741-2730.
