‘St, Nicholas’ comes to NW Dec. 9

    St. Nicholas, long retired Bishop of Myra, Turkey, in the heart of the Middle East, will be visiting the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Field, at St. Martin’s Lane and Willow Grove in Chestnut Hill, for all services, 8 a.m., 9 a.m. 10:15 Worship Together for young families, and 11:15 on Sunday December 9. He is not only celebrating his Feast Day, December 6, but also sharing his concerns about the turmoil around Jerusalem and the West Bank and asking for support of the American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, afedj.org, which supports over 50 institutions throughout the Middle East which primarily care for the children of the Middle East, regardless of faith or politics. St. Nick (portrayed by Greg Williams) welcomes you  to come and meet him and hear his story.
