Some Conshohocken residents ready to oppose Wawa plans

Though no formal application has been submitted, those against the construction of a Super Wawa in Conshohocken have already begun efforts to oppose it.

Several borough residents signed a petition Thursday night against the proposed Wawa on Fayette Street between 11th and 13th, and Council members have been receiving letters of opposition, as the Times Herald reports.

The plan has sparked three Facebook pages — two in favor of the Wawa and once against — and concerns like increased traffic, fewer customers to nearby businesses and the risk of children’s safety.
