Part II of the snowstorm was a whopper

I think it’s safe to say it’s a “snow day” for many Philadelphians. Wow, the overnight snowfall was intense and it’ll be fun to find out what the official snow total will be. School District of Philadelphia schools are closed as well as most other schools.

As of last night the National Weather Service upped the snow predictions for Philadelphia to 10-16 inches of additional snow. It’s believed that snow fell at 1 to 2 inches an hour last night. NBC10 has a like to some “official” snow totals for the tri-state region. 15 inches were recorded at the Philadelphia airport but I’m sure many areas have a lot more snow than that.

As you might expect the city of Philadelphia remains under a “Snow Emergency” declaration, which means cars parked along designed emergency routes could get towed.

The “Snow Emergency” was cancelled on Thurs, Jan 27 @ 7 p.m.
