The 20-year-old victim was found with a gunshot wound to his back outside the Penn Cinema IMAX at the Wilmington Riverfront.

Police were called to the theater’s parking lot around 11:30 Tuesday night for a report of a shooting victim. They found the victim near the theater where he was treated by New Castle County Paramedics. He was taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.

Investigators then conducted a search of the area and found evidence that a shooting had occurred at the intersection of Oak and Marshall St., which is on the other side of the I-95 overpass from the theater about half a mile away.

Police haven’t released any suspect information and say the investigation is ongoing.
