Sheriff candidate Honkala rides a horse through Kensington

While everyone was focused on Hurricane Irene cleanup yesterday, Cheri Honkala was riding a horse through Kensington. The campaign event she’d planned last week went off as scheduled, though the horse was a little late.

Philadelphia’s Green Party Sheriff candidate arranged the event to tout her stance on foreclosures: end them.

Honkala said she think she’s got a pretty good shot at being elected, given people’s frustrations with politics as usual. Philly Weekly reports Honkala has one key strategy for preventing foreclosures: don’t enforce the law.
