This was the 50th year for the annual folk festival. It is the longest continuously-running event of its kind in North America. The Mt. Airy-based organizers said their goal for this year’s festival was to honor the traditions it has represented through all those years, while offering cutting-edge contemporary entertainment with a nod to the future as well.
