Sen. Carper touts education tax credits

Less than half of all eligible Delaware students take advantage of tax credits to help pay for college.
Senator Carper is trying to change that today in Dover. Carper is joining leaders at Delaware Technical and Community College to draw attention to the $2,500 per year credit that could help students pay for college. Nearly 53% of students in Delaware are not taking advantage of the American Opportunity Tax Credit, which was extended for an extra two years at the end of December. The tax credits are only available through 2012.
