Seaford voters approve school referendum
Voters in the Seaford School District have narrowly approved a $36.5 million referendum.
The vote was 404 to 331 to approve a plan to renovate Seaford High School. The state will pay for 75% of the costs, with district residents now on the hook for the rest, about $9.1 million. As part of the renovation, the district will add space to the high school for a new “tech academy” that is scheduled to start in the fall. The changes will also alleviate some crowding at the elementary school level.
