Romney to headline NJ GOP fundraiser

Former Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney will be in New Jersey next month to help Gov. Chris Christie celebrate his birthday.

Romney is slated to attend a Sept. 10 fundraiser for the New Jersey Republican Party in East Brunswick. The event is billed as a birthday celebration for Christie, who turns 52 on Sept. 6.

General admission tickets for the event will be $150. Tickets for a private reception (limited to 75 guests) will cost $5,000, while roundtable tickets (limited to 20 guests) cost $25,000 per person.

Christie was the first governor to endorse Romney’s presidential bid, and he raised millions for him during the 2012 campaign.
