Report advises SEPTA on student ridership
Longer hours, extended student passes and increased security presence are among the suggestions the Youth Advisory Council has for SEPTA.
YAC’s report highlights a disconnect between SEPTA and its high school- and college-aged riders.
Though some aspects of the report call for action — like extending student passes until 8 p.m. for those who have after school jobs — others request better promotion of services. Most students, the report says, don’t know about the 24-hour Night Owl service that serves Market-Frankford and Broad Street line riders.
The YAC wll also meet to discuss needs of suburban student riders.
