Prisoner resource fair designed to reduce recidivism

Recently released prisoners will meet with community leaders today as part of an effort to reduce recidivism by making services more accessible to ex-offenders.

The I-ADAPT Community Coalition was created by an executive order from Governor Markell in 2009. The acronym I-ADAPT stands for Individual Assessment, Discharge And Planning Team. Today the group will work with the Department of Correction to match former offenders with information on housing, education, job training, employment opportunities and other services.
