Police have arrested a North Cape May woman for allegedly stealing toys from a collection bin.

Irene Burke, 65, allegedly stole $600 worth of toys from a Christmas toy drive collection bin at the North Wildwood Acme for the Lunch with Lynch Foundation to distribute, according to a North Wildwood Police Department release.

Police charged Burke with theft. The toys were returned to the foundation.

The North Wildwood Police Officer’s Association donated $200 to help cover the loss before Burke’s arrest.
