Philly’s top high schoolers get a taste of city government from the inside
Today was the annual Police Athletic League Day at City Hall in Philadelphia. The event gives select students a close-up perspective on the inner workings of city government and a brief taste of public service.
Every year, the the city partners with the PAL to honor high school students for their achievement in academics and community activities. All day today, 25 oustanding teens shadowed city officials from Mayor Michael Nutter and Attorneey General Seth Williams on down.
