Registered New Jersey voters taking part in the primary one week from today will determine the Democratic and Republican candidates vying to replace Governor Chris Christie.

Continuing a series of conversations with the candidates, NewsWorks Tonight host Dave Heller spoke with Democrat Phil Murphy today. He’s a former ambassador to Germany, former finance chair of the Democratic National Committee, and former executive at Wall Street banking firm Goldman Sachs.

With no legislative experience behind him, Murphy is leading a pack of seasoned lawmakers, which many attribute to a large infusion of personal cash into his campaign.  He’s picked up endorsements in all of the Garden State’s 21 counties, plus a high profile national one, from former Vice President Joe Biden.
