Pa. auditor general candidates to hold TV debate

Pennsylvania’s candidates for state auditor general are slated to hold a televised debate later this month.

The Pennsylvania Cable Network said Wednesday it plans to provide live coverage of the evening debate on Sept. 21 at the Widener University Law School campus in Harrisburg.

The candidates are Democratic state Rep. Eugene DePasquale of York County, Republican state Rep. John Maher of Allegheny County and Libertarian candidate Betsy Summers of Wilkes-Barre.

The candidates will field questions from a panel of journalists who are members of the Harrisburg-based Pennsylvania Legislative Correspondents’ Association.
