Our Lady of Calvary janitor charged with child molestation

A custodian from Our Lady of Calvary school has been charged with child molestation.

Velez Luis, a custodian at the school for the last three years, was taken into custody Wednesday, but is not charged with molesting Calvary students. Reports indicate Luis has been accused of molesting children related to someone close to him, but letters were sent home Thursday to warn parents of the charges.

Bail has been set at $15,000 for Luis, who faces charges of  indecent sexual assault of a child  younger than 13, endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of minors, indecent exposure , simple assault and criminal solicitation.
