Ridge: Never doubted Bin Laden would face justice

Former Secretary of Homeland Security and Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge says he never doubted that someday Osama Bin Laden would be brought to justice.

Ridge said even Bin Laden himself may not have expected the resolve of the country in responding to the attacks, although “I’m sure his followers certainly appreciate it now.”

He said it couldn’t take away the pain of those who lost loved ones in the attacks, but it has fulfilled a commitment that the country made to them.

Gordon Felt, president of the Families of Flight 93, called the announcement of Bin Laden’s death “important news for us, and for the world. “He said in a statement that “It cannot ease our pain, or bring back our loved ones” but does bring “a measure of comfort.”
