Sun and clouds today for most, with showers and thunderstorms mainly a threat for South Jersey. As you can see in the current radar, precipitation is quickly advancing. Another humid day, with a warm light southwest wind. High temperatures in the low 80s along the coast, mid 80s inland. The chance of precipitation continues tonight, when temperatures will drop back to the upper 60s to 70.

Improving conditions tomorrow, but a slight chance of thunderstorms remain. Similar above normal temperatures. Likely more sun Friday and Saturday, but there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night through Monday. It cannot be emphasized enough to pay attention to the word “chance” — not a washout. High temperatures will continue in the low 80s along the coast, mid 80s inland straight through this period.

BOAT/BEACH: Sun and clouds. Likely intermittent showers, particularly in southern beaches. Breakers in the one to two foot range, and ocean swells are light. The ocean temperature is around 70 degrees. There is low risk of rip currents, but always swim near a lifeguard.
