Officers hospitalized in Philly cruiser crash

Philadelphia police say two officers have been hospitalized with head, neck and back pain after two police cruisers collided while responding to a call.

The wreck happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at 22nd Street and Montgomery Avenue in North Philadelphia.

WPVI-TV reports the officers were responding to a report of shots fired at 20th and Oxford streets.

The officers were taken to Temple University Hospital. Police say they were being treated and released.

WPVI reports four officers suffered less serious injuries.

All of the officers were wearing seat belts. Four officers were in one car.

Police did not find a shooter or victims at the scene of the reported shooting.
