Obituary: Mary Jane Hazell

Mary Jane Hazell was the president of the Somerton Civic Association, and was involved with the group since 1966. Her friends and family honored her memory at last night’s monthly meeting. Her obituary is below.

HAZELL, MARY JANE (nee Graham), Nov. 8, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Richard. Loving mother of Debbie Share (Scott) and Jayne Green (Mark). Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Laura (Dave), Danny, Mark (Sarah), Rachel, Matthew, Ritchie, Alex and Brittany; as well as her sister, Florence Colduvell. Missed by her special canine friends, Kasey, Sydney, Turbo, Derka and Reggie. Relatives and friends invited to her Viewing Thursday, 5:30 to 8 P.M., in MaST Community Charter School, 1800 East Byberry Rd., Phila. PA 19116. Additional Viewing Friday, 9 to 11 A.M., in Fellowship Bible Church, 13021 Worthington Road, Phila. PA 19116. Service to begin at 11 A.M. Int. Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations to the Mary Jane Hazell Memorial Scholarship Award, c/o Pat Cantwell, Somerton Civic Association, 13030 Sewell Road, Phila. PA 19116, would be appreciated, the scholarship will recognize and reward high school seniors for excellence in community service.
